You can say what you want about TWST being an ‘all boys’ school or whatever BUT, for me that kind of black and white thinking is already annoying enough. And the series makes a point to highlight ‘unconventional’ masculinity with characters like Vil in a way that I appreciate far more.

The fact that this tiny random doodle on an original concept chart might be one of the only designs we have of the Turks from FFVII’s development is absolutely insane.

Asked about referencing old planning documents and the like from back in the day, Naoki Hamaguchi says there's almost no documentation left over from that period at all, practically none. Game development back then was a lot more Wild West - a lot of material was just not kept. (Eurogamer, 10/30)
