A size chart of our megaraptoran mothers: a ba'khar and kurajaku. Yodemi is a ba'khar in her late forties. A mother of over a hundred adults and many more young at the start of our story, including our protagonist, Fai Zhemi. Mazhu is, conversely, a new mother, laying her first clutch.

Halfway done writing the December Ba'Khar story: the Fable of Fai Zhemi! I'll be doing at least one live stream Q&A, probably two, as fundraisers for the fable. Probably one in October and one in November as I fill out the many sketches and illustrations. Stay tuned for dates!

A few First Children weapons. In their later years so many artifacts were botanical or made of magic so have poor preservation. However, in their early occupation of Qajar, they had many items made of metals that last much better, especially enchanted artifacts like these.

Two species of Legionarius, an abundant genus of hoplititan:

A herd of mixed-age Legionarius foraging. The pair of older adolescents stand on their hindquarters to feed on a tree fern. Their four younger companions look on, more out of curiosity than hunger. One makes an attempt but is still too small.

A pair of Caudipeltus walk along a bank. On the high and dry, the titan maintains a normal high-gauge stride. In the shallow mud, her companion everts to a low-gauge stance for better stability in the loose terrain.

The koordu, Kaishel’s biggest animal, is a large parasauropod.

Acridodon, a grassland titanosaur. While horsetails and other gymnosperms are much preferred by other titans, and these are far more productive habitats, there are enough grasslands in Kairul that a few lineages of titanosaur have adapted to their specialization.

A young bokodu is raised to fear and avoid the scent of megaraptorans. This young squire is treated to quite the shock as the knight who has taken him in not only heads *toward* the scent, he promptly & silently attacks the sleeping subadult chaku ka bawe, eliminating a future threat and competitor.

Guys, gals, and nonbinary pals: we reach the end of our entelodont budget! Here we have Kairul’s largest borophagine on top, and the biggest of the fenrirs below!

After large male pachycephalosaur survived an attack by a large megaraptoran, only to be set upon by a pack of horse-sized fenrirs. Though his injuries are substantial and he’s exhausted, he’s not going down without a fight…

The tarasque is a large herbivore of dubious phylogeny found in southern Kairul. Their feathers grow in hard pangolin-like scales, affording additional protection.

Three species of fenrirs, a type of smaller cursorial entelodonts exhibiting complex social structures and cooperative hunting. Though there are hyenas and borophagines, the fenrirs are among the more dominant predators in this size class.
