Really happy how this turned out! The glassware came from goodwill, and I found two of each piece so I can swap them out and throw them in the dishwasher. The 3D printed parts don't touch the water at all, there's a silicone drinking straw that runs from the pump up through the spout.

This sounds corny, but the joy that I experience from being able to model an object in 3D software, set it printing, and a few hours later be holding it in my hand, is unlike anything else. And the better I get at CAD, the closer I get to basically imagining an object into existence.

I updated Home Assistant, and then noticed that one of my lights was offline. I spent a few minutes reloading the integration, checking settings, etc. I walked over to try power-cycling the bulb. I had forgotten to plug it back in after vacuuming a few days ago. 🤦 Classic high impedance air gap.

I understand why many creators maintain a "no politics" policy. There's a place and time, and they want their audience to be able to forget politics and enjoy the content. The problem is that life is politics. You cannot completely avoid "political" issues if you are a public personality.
