This was literally the cutest book. Completely wholesome content was read this evening because I’m not sure if metaphors will ever recover from what’s happening to the White House. Or from a million other things. So this evening I went with: cute cat and hapless human. Good decision.

Mayday says she already knows all about being an anarchist. I countered that Le Guin frames one of the societies in this book as communal and perhaps not what a cat might envision as-- oops, lecture suddenly cut short as Mayday yawns and knocks the book off the table.
