Bought some new TTRPGs today. The D&D Starters Set because I like starter sets and wanted to see how WotC tackled it. Memento Mori because it looked cool, and some of my favorite Italians (Two Little Mice) were involved. Marvel MRPG because Matt Forbeck.

So I’m going to do the layout for Free League’s take on Trudvang. Which is extra fun since that was the first TTRPG I laid out back in 2000.

I would have loved to keep every Mythic Carpathia vaesen on single spreads, but it was impossible. When just the text for a vaesen fills two pages, there is *no way* for me to fit the text *and* the image on one spread. 1/2

It always makes me happy when my layout work is appreciated.

Why, oh why, did I not go to UKGE? Everyone seems to be having a great time. And I do miss shooting the shit with British game designers over a pint or ten. Oh well –* maybe there’s a Dragonmeet in the cards for me in November. [* Non-AI generated en-dash.]

QFT. If I’m stuck doing layout, not being able to get the spreads just right – I work on something else. And while I do that, my brain ticks away in the background, finding a solution to my problem. Nearly every time.

It's amazing (and by amazing, I mean bad) how people who follow and interact with a bazillion of trans gals that actively make OSR stuff and are in their 30's, keep insisting on making long rants about how it is exclusively a scene of old bald bearded man in their 60's and shit

Apparently this needs to be repeated: TERFs and transphobes can fuck all the fucking way off! All of them, generally, but particularly one of them.

People are finally receiving their Realms of the Three Rings/Keepers of the Elven-rings books – and a lot of them point out how gorgeous they look. And they do! The art is maybe the best I have ever seen in a TTRPG (❤️ that Galadriel cover). And, if I dare say so, my layout is not too shabby either.

Spring has finally arrived in Stockholm! Today I found the year’s first bumblebee in my garden. A buff-tailed bumblebee (Bombus terrestris) queen.

So, I did the graphic design, layout, and prepress for what may very well be the tiniest TTRPG in existence. The Keyring RPG, second edition, conceived, written, and translated by @devilkitten.bsky.social. More pictures in the comments.

I designed a new logo for the band I’m in. Here as a vinyl application on my bass drum. (We needed to add ‘Stockholm Soul’ because other bands have tried to claim the name. But we’ve been playing under this nome de plume for fifteen years now.)
