I've been pretty conservative with housing testing cause I wanted to save all my energy for live. I'm sort of frightened over how much I'll want to put into just one room (the cafe) but this'll be such a fun journey!

Huge improvements! Two things: 1. Does the 80% reduction apply to the currently existing 20 slots, or the grand total of 50? 2. I feel the initial setup cost per outfit slot should still be waived for at least the two free slots, ideally all unlocked slots.

Wanna put this thought in your guys' heads: Guild/Private neighborhoods include both the Horde and Alliance neighborhoods so 100 plots. Doesn't solve every problem but covers most of em.

Based on testing I'm led to believe when the 12.0 patch drops, everyone's transmog will be undone and they'll have to pay to get their old look back. Which 100% reinforces my feedback the cost of setting up an Outfit slot for the first time should be free.

I enjoy reading the discussions and responses, but I also feel sorry for the folks who have strong emotional attachments to weekly beta builds. It must be exhausting! I at least get paid (a little) for covering it

The BFA meta decor takes far, far longer to get a copy for than the SL decor. And no I'm not suggesting the SL decor take longer to farm

Regardless of where they land on the pricing, I think it'd be a great idea for the "first time" setup of an outfit to have no cost to it. Helps to dull the initial impact and make gamers think carefully on which of their outfits are worthy of the slot.

Not the most elegant idea I can think of, but it'd be funny to choose a "Laundry Day" each week when editing Transmog is half off

Slot unlocks are account wide which is...whoop dee doo. The real cost is the day to day, which is what really needs to be addressed more.

Transmog costs are a present conversation but I wanna demonstrate a bit of the actual feature cause outfits/situations are remarkably powerful. Here's my character outside, all mog slots saved to an outfit and paid for. Appearances are locked even if I change gear.

Experimented more with outfits on how to set up ways to see your new gear and selectively change pieces cheaply. A la carte changes still suck though, I suggest a lower and flat cost for every slot. 200g is a good jumping off point imo

Keep making noise about the transmog costs, but the fact that they don't even scale with level/item level screams to me that the costs aren't final and changes will come, backlash or not. No way are they also basically locking new players out of transmog

Your first 2 wardrobe slots are free. Additional slots increase in price starting at 100g and as you want more and more it gets...really high. I capped off at 100K for the 18th slot and it stopped increasing. I didn't try going much higher

Housing Protip: Have a main housing character to do your decorating while the rest of your warband does the traveling, buying decor etc. "I have to go back to the vendor cause I miscounted" is easily avoidable!

Coming around to the idea of having Shop Decor be a 1 time buy, then gold cost. Concerns: - Unlock price might be much higher than original HS cost (Don't know intended costs either) - Gold cost might be high Could be a "monkey's paw" solution leaving us financially worse off

Hope I nailed all the filters right, there's a bit over 250 decor available day 1 of housing just from the Neighborhood vendors. No housing level, reputation or achievements needed, just straight gold

Hot take but I suspect a high % of folks ragging on hearthsteel only learned about housing from articles and headlines so far. And they haven't taken a good look at the creativity possible with even the basic stuff you buy with gold from the neighborhood vendors.

Just for the hell of it, tried ordering blizzcon tickets and cruised through to the final confirmation page. Note it's almost 3 hours since sales started. Either the queue process doesn't really begin until I try making a purchase or these aren't quite flying off the shelf

Friends I'm happy to report that clients can now provide lumber for Decor Crafting orders!

They added housing music in this build! I'm sure some dataminer will post the full track soon. It's quite pleasant, and I should have figured they'd want this ready ahead of early access!

I think dyes are in a bad state, from a logistics perspective. It'd be more manageable if these ten pigments were the dyes themselves, then when customizing decor the game consumes the appropriate amounts to create any of the colors.

I do admit that if right clicking on a WoW Token can lead me to a choice set of: - Apply 30 days of game time - Collect $15 of Bnet balance - Receive a $15 denomination of Hearthsteel This would be pretty clean loop keeping players locked into the gold ecosystem.

I remember being ragged on when I said something very similar a few years back, as I'd observe similar talking points as soon as a creator came up with a catchy phrase. It's not BAD, but these people would probably have more specific feedback if they used their own words.
