I got the wrong solder for starting out (lead-free, which apparently has a much higher working temperature and thus beads terribly), so next time I’ll get the proper one… but hey! FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUCK the new season of Interview With the Vampire is SO GODDAMN GOOD. (I wrestle with whether to call it season 3, or season 1 of The Vampire Lestat?) Seriously, if you’re not on this bandwagon yet, this is a MUST WATCH show. Start from season 1, of course, but goddamn.

Guys… SCIENCE was done last night. We have this little air monitor thing, mainly because Liz has had some respiratory issues that we’re trying to get to the bottom of, and it tracks a bunch of things like particulate and CO2, formaldehyde and VOC’s. Kinda neat.

Oh thank fuck. After asking him to over three weeks ago, my landlord finally asked his AC guy to come recharge the refrigerant on our unit. It’s an old unit, and our landlord apparently stockpiled the refrigerant for it so he could avoid having to replace it on his properties. Landlords. Christ.

And ya girl was IN IT TO WIN IT today. Felt like a million bucks, which is always a good thing. ;)

Perfectly normal things to do: setting an alarm every hour for 15 minutes after the hour, then checking your wristwatch to see exactly how fast or slow your grandfather clock is so you can adjust the pendulum height. I’m currently losing about 4 seconds per day. I CAN DO BETTER.

I get more than a little tired that so many Star Trek games focus so heavily on combat. The Star Trek CCG from the ‘90s was all about completing missions. Combat is a PART of Star Trek, but the notion of making a game of any kind that’s SOLELY focused on it just turns me away.

Took the kiddos to the local aquarium (It used to be SeaQuest, but they went bankrupt and this place took over and tried to clean up their mess) over the weekend. A fairly mediocre place, but seeing these two actually get along for any period of time is so rare, I’ll take it. :)

Potential lead on a job - nothing high-paying, but it was a nice informal call and I go in to meet them tomorrow. Plus, it’s an LGBTQ-owned company, so that could be good! Fingers crossed!
