So it’s like a commonly known fact now that some people hear electricity. I hear it and never knew it wasn’t a universal experience. But what really bugs me is how I hear different frequencies from my laptop processor depending on how hard I’m pushing it at any given moment. It’s really distracting

Lack of free third spaces isn’t limited to the US. I don’t actually know anywhere near me that doesn’t cost money or doesn’t have ads shoved in your face. Heck, cant even enjoy a night in the city unless the only plan is drinking most of the time.

So many amazing, wonderful people - and me - were laid off today. All of them deserve the world and I hope they get back on their feet soon. As for me? I suppose I'm open for work once the shock wears off.

I just added a way to set the river current strength in some area. I need a way to bake it inside the mesh to be able to convey it visually too 😅 I wonder if I could make it a simple tool script that inspects my scene and edits the water's vertex color. I need to investigate. 🕵️

It’s 36c here and I just went outside for a moment to check on a thing. Immediately felt sick. It’s like walking through a thick hot soup. This isn’t fun summer times it’s the atmosphere actively trying to kill us while people in power pretend this is just another unprecedented event.

Remember when so many of us predicted these AI companies will ramp up prices when they know you've become dependant on them and it was just shrugged off and dismissed?

I don’t check Facebook often, but when I do it’s full of flat earthers and people accusing governments of controlling the weather. I feel dumber for having seen these things

My dog gradually learnt that whenever I eat something from a packet (crisps, nuts, pretzels etc) I will always give him one of the thing. It was never intentional, just an absent-minded bad lesson. But Im now too weak to not keep doing it after he sits in front of me when Im about to snack.

It tock close to 30min to clamp up and get fit together but it’s now a solid object. It’s not perfect as I can see only mistakes with it but I did learn and now have ideas on how to do the next stuff better and need to spend time when dry to try to correct and patch. #woodworking

Everyone has different learning styles, but I’ve never heard anyone talk about the abandonment technique. Learn until you hit a plateau, abandon the thing for a while and then revisit later when some of the muscle memory has loosened up a little to make room for new lessons.

Honestly I buy so few new games these days I don’t think it’d be a big change. Even now my current list of games to play is Twilight Princess, the Mass Effect series, Arkham Knight and Oxygen Not Included.

The plan today was to finish this but ended up having a nap and a slow day so maybe tomorrow I’ll get some momentum. But I’m not under Andy deadlines and it’s still coming to about 3 days work so far and I’m happy with that.

I worked a little on this doing some environment art and it’s a real special game with a truly wonderful team.
