I think it’s super important to do art for yourself. But also don’t deny those feelings you get when you share it and don’t get a response. It’s okay for it to disappoint you that no one else dug it but you. Keep making what you like.

anyone who reskeets my art gets a sweet, gentle kiss on the forehead (if they want to) because beyond making me potentially grow on here, it fills me with immense joy knowing someone's like "guys look ! look at this ! I like it !!"

Y’all! I really advice on reskeeting/reposting peoples art more, I swear you don’t realize how much an impact it can have especially if you’re 1K or above Like you can change how a post gets seen, you can reskeet a 3 hour art post with 10 likes and an hour or so later it can blow up

None of the artists I know who are living from commission to commission are even close to comfortably well off. Asking people to pay what you know the skills you've honed are worth and what you need to survive is good and anyone who says otherwise is deeply unserious or hoping to exploit you.
