Usually it’s cats that got left out that greet me at the door during my early morning rounds. But someone forgot to let the spider in last night. One of the biggest jumping spiders I’ve ever seen.

Clematis bloom watch day 6. Everything survived the cold night. This has got to be slowest blooming clematis I’ve ever had. There are a dozen blooms starting to open, so she’s going to be pretty

For me personally, I had a hell yeah! day. Three personal victories, one of them 6 months in the making AND I got my trusty stead up and running. Now we are back in the adventure business. It has sucked to be trapped in this town.

Clematis bloom watch day 3. Almost there for the first bloom. It’s a double blooming flower. Most everything survived the storm. The only thing I lost was a plant the dog dug up because I forgot she was outside and she got upset being left out in the rain. I sorta don’t blame her.

Spoke with GV friend today. The night before, the stop sign poles were duct taped rainbow. She went to the meeting. There were about 20 people there. Mark mostly talked about himself and not much on how he would serve. Somebody commented that him being an ex-cop from Cali was not going to work out.

HAHAHA! That response killed me. And it's so damn true.

Not everyone is accepting of the weird food I eat, which I totally understand. My mom has eaten every bite of health food that I’ve put in front of her. And she’s now on the bean train. She said she still going to eat meat, but is committed to eating beans and increasing her fruit and veg everyday.

Clematis Bloom watch day 2. So slow. I hope the rain that’s coming is a gentle rain instead of hailing rain. I’ve got everything that will fit inside the greenhouse. A few more chores to do before the wind arrives. But! We should get another mushroom fruiting off this storm. Morels!

I just want you all to know that I didn’t throw myself into whatever body of water was closest and call myself clean today. I took a real shower. With soap and everything. Tomorrow, I’ll take a rain shower.

To whichever politicians that still bother to listen to us lowly people: please do this in the US. In fact, please do this everywhere.

My clematis is about to bloom and the anticipation is killing me. I bought this clematis last year as a special present for myself, so this will be its first established bloom.

My mom, taking her cat for a walk down by the river. As soon as my mom puts on her walking shoes, the cat puts herself into her backpack. She got me a cat backpack too so that my kitties can go for walks (if you recall, this was meow mandated a few weeks back).

I had to go back and see the baby geese and maybe get a good photo. They were happy to oblige!

Some more cute, but inedible mushrooms from my walk today. As obnoxious as that last rainy week was, it really brought up the mushrooms! Oh! And I saw the first baby geese today, too. Shits about to get sprung!

The oysters have fruited. Sorry it’s not a great pic. The dog was being chaos and I was being chaos and I just took a pic and didn’t really look at it until I got home.

Encounters with wildlife during my early morning rounds are pretty common. Usually it’s too dark to get a picture. And it’s even more unusual to find them in the middle of apartment parking lots.

Guess what. My mom told me that there was a new book by the author of my very favorite book of all time, The Martian, by Andy Weir. It’s called Project Hail Mary and it’s her new favorite book. So we go to the bookstore to buy me a copy and there is another new book by the same guy! Stoked!

Saw the news articles that said the average American will pay more in taxes this year. So I decided to do my taxes, cause today’s the day. Sure enough. I owe more this year than I did last year. Fuck trump. I hope his diaper leaks today in full view of the camera. And I hope for a stroke of luck.

Due to the rain, catio time was cancelled today and Archimedes is very upset by this situation. I’ve been randomly pounced at least 27 times today.

Twenty seven years ago, I buried my first cat, who lived to a ripe age of 19 years, in this spot. There used to be a little grave marker, but it’s long gone now. Her name was Addy Cat, and I dressed her up in baby clothes, put makeup on her, used her as a travel accessory for my Barbies. A good cat.
