Spent today at the bakery making peanut butter s’mores cookies and strawberry rhubarb hand pies, and they both turned out *perfect*. I’m not a bestselling author, but I could become a bestselling baker.

Who knows the exact birthday of any cat found in the trash, but Ponyo’s is likely “late May,” so happy 6th, you ham-loving goofball.

What a weird little dork

We’re short handed at our bakery, but we just pulled off a successful Mother’s Day weekend. It’s very rewarding work and I enjoy it greatly.

I don't currently have any stories out as submissions, which means nobody can hurt me, but I won't get anything else published. I'm weirdly fine with that for now.

I’ve hardly talked about it since it’s been out because of life, but I’ve been blown away by the positive reception of my novelette “Lash Egg.” I’m very proud of this story, and I’m glad you all have enjoyed it so far! If you’re interested, it’s available pretty much wherever you buy books online.

Getting a little suspicious that every time I'm going through a difficult life circumstance, my favorite K-pop group releases new music. Makes me suspect they're causing the troubles so I form strong emotional attachments to their music.....

If you picked up a copy of Split Scream 8 from the @tenebrouspress.bsky.social store, and you received a piece of sheet music in the box, but don’t know how to read it, this is the song from “Lash Egg.” The actual composition is 4-part choral harmony, but you’ll at least get the tune from this.

When I say "Lash Egg" has stomach-churning body horror, I mean it. One of my cats threw up on one of my author copies last night. I assume she was trying to read it. I would post a picture, but I don't think anyone wants to be jumpscared by a book with a nasty vomit pile when they open their feed.

I made something really good at the bakery I work at today. Fried pancakes stuffed with walnuts and a thick brown sugar cinnamon syrup. Yall, these are GOOOD

The best thing about being published by Tenebrous is the generous stock options in a Fortune 500 company.** But another good thing is the badass cover & interior artists we work with, hands down🖤☠️ . . . . . **citation needed. Also, I don't actually know what this means.
