This is a pretty strong argument that instead of AGI-or-bust OpenAI will pivot to be a colossal ad powerhouse that rivals Google

The A in AGI stands for Ads
Had to crunch the ad revenue projection numbers for OpenAI real quick, had enough of the fearmongering and nonsense takes. AGI... now funded by 5x60 second unskippable ads!

Netflix is going to acquire a LOT of properties as part of this deal... HBO, GoT, Harry potter, adult swim, CNN, etc. Would MAX even have a place anymore in a world where netflix owns them?

Double Yikes for BC wildfires Lots of lightning this weekend in BC (& WA-OR-ID) after a very long hot & dry period. Fuels are receptive (Duff Moisture Code is high - means very dry fuels where ltg fires typically ignite). If the forecast holds, I expect 100-200 new fire starts during Sept. 6-9 in BC

Iβve been collecting sweat rate data for my workouts at various intensity factors and weather β thereβs as much variance as 200ml/hr all the way up to 1100ml/hr and I havenβt even yet collected data above 20C This at least explains why I have to use the bathroom 6 times on a 4 hour ride in winter!

It should seem obvious that chain-of-thought does not actually represent a model's "thinking" when you look at it as an implementation detail, but given the misleading UX used for "thinking" it shouldn't surprise us when users interpret it that way
