Wow. The newly de-hibernated queen bumblebees are flying around here like drunken sailors. This one took a breather on my deck after flying into my face😂. She’ll be fine. Just gotta get her sea legs…wings…whatever. I’m just so happy to see them.

On Vancouver Island, most months of the year, if you time it right, you could find yourself looking at a free BBQ.🇨🇦

Rio was my first dog. She made me understand that life is better with dogs. For that, I’m forever in her debt. I said goodbye to her 18 years ago today. You just never forget these things.

First sweet pea bloom, and a bonus squash bloom! I can’t wait for the smell of the sweet peas to start floating around the deck. Such a beautiful summer so far.
