No magnificent sunrise today, a few too many clouds, here is one from the other day. Still finding spectacular rocks on the beach! We open tomorrow so a wee clean up crew here today to tidy up the tidal deposits we kindly received from Mama Nature over the winter.

Tantallon Castle, a Red Douglas family stronghold. Spanish Armada wreck (1588). The Red Douglas, Earl of Angus died on the same night as the wreck & his men took this as a bad omen not to support the Spanish. There was also a wreck at St Andrews and Slains on the same night!

We open on the 1st of March and signs of spring are well and truly with us. Birds singing, the early flowers rising from the ground and more daylight!! It's worth getting out to see the sun rise and hopefully the weather keeps improving so we can wake up to scenes like this.
