In 2025 Yellow Wagtail territories around Torness and Skateraw decreased to 8 due to extensive cable-laying in fields around Torness. With quarrying being extended to the Dry Burn, much of the remaining nesting habitat will be destroyed.

A big thank you to the Marsh Sandpiper for hanging around Musselburgh for so long and allowing me to see it yesterday. It even made friends with the Spotted Redshank for a while. Nice to see lots of nice birders too.
