My friend's annual zine reviewing books and other stuff they enjoyed arrived in the mail today complete with a badge they made with a delightful festive pun.

Booked an appointment to get my foot checked out next week because the pain is gone from annoyance to this is making me miserable and grumpy and given I have to be around people all the time at work me being all grouchy and complaining isn't good.

Back at work today after three days off and when I got home I ended up napping for two & a half hours. I should probably book some proper time off sooner rather than later.

Yesterday my friend group did our annual Secret Santa. My Santa got my dream Pokémon card and framed it. Such a thoughtful and creative gift. I'm not sure if I'll hang it on the wall or sit it on my dresser or bookshelf (once I've tidied the shelves)

Looking forward to the three days in a row I'll have off next week. I did consider offering to work Boxing Day (which falls on my usual RDO) but nah, extra money would have been nice but I really need the rest more.

Managed to sleep through both of my alarms this morning and then got woken up by the shuttle driver calling to say he was five minutes away.

Did my first bit of Christmas shopping from Pepper last night (plus a gift for myself, retail over the festive season is exhausting and stressy so I need treats too!) I love buying gifts for people from artists and local creatives - gives me the warm fuzzies all around.

Sadly I don't have any pets (renting and in a small apartment), though I really want cats. Hoping the next place we move to is pet friendly.
