The next time I pick up my guitar and look down at my effects, I’ll fall into the well of experience and attempt to channel the feelings, summon from the combination of physics and electronics a audible representation. That’s music, for me.

If you know me at all, you’ll know that I have a deep river of nostalgia that runs through me. A total sucker for history, shared or otherwise. These past experiences frame the next moments through a lens that’s been ground over years resulting in perception of each moment.

15 years later, I’m here again…rehousing it in this updated enclosure with some new aesthetics, better wiring, true-bypass switching, and some fixes along the way. I know a bit more about electronics today but I’m still quite naive and experimental.

After some ham-fisted wiring, lifted pads, and economic squeezing I powered it on and noticed that something had changed: the tone control was brighter/ wider…gnarlier, even. This was a moment of discovery that’s still with me. I had improved (my opinion) upon the sound and aesthetic of the original
