Laura goes to rub her head. "Right..." She mumbles. She has a habit of being too literal at times. "I'm still figuring out if people are joking or not..."

It was an awkward start, but Laura remained at least dancing to the beat of the music. After a few moments, he movements started to be less robotic and a little more natural. Well, it's natural for Laura, at least.

Laura's eyes would go wide as she was dragged by Kiden. As she heard her speak, the mutant would just awkwardly stand there. She wasn't the best at dancing. But she moved along to the beat. And that was probably the closest Laura would actually get to dancing and letting loose.

Nobody: Laura:

Walking through the door, Laura hears the loud music and sees the flashing lights. Awkwardly, she stands there for a few moments, nodding her head along to the beat.

"I'll keep that in mind..." She wasn't the best at words, but if asked by those she cares about, Laura will try.

She would only give a nod in response. "Yes. We dance now."

"Kid? I'm twenty-one."

Yeah.

"Well, it's sort of my thing. To you know, stab and all." She responded as she folded her arms against her chest.

"But - I'm the best at what I do."

I only stab the bad guys.

"I....." She soon shook her head, looking away from the other. "I do not wish to discuss this."

Lauracore:

"It's not that. It's...." She found herself sighing as she looked at the other. "I'm not good at emotions and with talking. I'm confused on what I should say and I'm confused on how I should act most of the time." She blinked. "You want to hold my hand?"

"Sorry. I still don't really like hugs and all." She responded as she walked, looking downwards. Sighing to herself, feeling like she ruined the moment.

Feeling the other hug her, Laura stood there for a few moments. After a few moments, she would awkwardly pat the other on the back, hugging her back. She soon pulled away, and gave a nod. "Right. Yeah. Noted."

Shaking her head, she rolled her eyes at that comment. "I remember. I'm glad I get to see you again. I...." Her voice trailed off, brow furrowed. Emotions were still hard for her. "You're my best friend, Kiden."

As she walked alongside of the blonde, the dark-haired mutant had only gave a nod to those words. "I was never one to talk much. At least I say more than two words and use contractions now." Oh, Laura has jokes. Probably not as funny because of the monotone. But she has jokes!

"Let loose. Feel the music....." Laura had repeated as she was finished climbing. She blinked for a few moments, confused. She was never one to let "loose". "....Alright."

Once to the fire escape, Laura climbs down the ladder. She soon looks at the other. "I'm not good at dancing. Do you mind helping me?"

Glancing downwards, she blinked. "Guess so." She soon placed her jacket by where her shirt was. She soon stood next to Kiden. "Ready?"

"I mean, green looks good on me, too. It matches my eyes." She shrugs as she goes under the tarp. Taking off her jacket, she takes her shirt off and the one Kiden gave her on. She soon walks out. "With or without the jacket?"

She nods in agreement as she takes the top from Kiden. "Yeah." She says as she holds it. "It's not that I don't hate color, it's just that few colors actually look good on me."

As she said that and disappeared into the tarp tent, Laura glanced downwards. Deep in her thoughts. Did she have a home? Was it in New York? Was it the short time with her cousin? Or was it always with the facility?

"The island was only a temporary safe haven. There are still X-Men as far as I'm aware."

"I will not force you to join. Just remember, if you so decided to join, the X-Men will welcome you, as they do with all mutants."
