It's happening! The proof copy of my novel is now on it's way to me! Once I've checked it to make sure the internal layout work and give it one final proofread, it will be available far and wide.

I also think it's time to make it publicly known who is taking money and *not* living up to their end of the bargain and/or dodging communicating with the people they owe things to because people in the tttrpg hobby deserve to make informed choices with their money.

Technological progress has made it possible for just about anyone to step into the RPG space as a creator, but unfortunately it also allows for people to rise high enough reputationally to the point where they can take a pile of money for projects they aren't able to actually fulfill.

Book 39 of 2026: Mary Roberts Reinhart, Alibi For Isabel This *looks* like Gothic novel, not it's actually a collection of short fiction that puts the anxieties of Americans at home during World War II on full display. Kinda neat little surprise, this one.

Sometimes I find myself thinking about the worst book I read last year. Weird horror collection where every single story had a puppet, mannequin, doll, marionette, etc in it. Real pointless Ligotti worship. "What if you saw a creepy doll in an abandoned mall?" Yeah bud what if. I'm a grown ass man.

Book 38 of 2026: Frank Belknap Long, So Dark a Heritage This one had a bit of everything: mysterious tribal drums and a voodoo doll, a druidic stone circle on a Louisiana estate, a child who collects bugs, hypnotism, a guy who hits on his sister in law during her sister's funeral service, etc.

It's funny when people do the disapproving crossed arms thing and say "I don't know how anyone can be nostalgic for Blockbuster" because what you're really saying is you can't imagine a fun Friday night watching movies with friends.

We went to the woodfire pizza place to grab lunch yesterday, and they had a special on for a pizza, garlic knots, and wings. The wings were these "onion marinated" kind finished in the pizza over with no hot sauce. Didn't do it for us. Luckily the leftovers were easy to fix
