I got the chance to read a copy of Will Dean’s upcoming novel ADRIFT, and it’s fantastic. Claustrophobic and tense from beginning to end, almost unbearably so at times, with a powerful trio of central characters that Will really puts through the wringer. Out February 2026 - highly recommended!

What was the last truly great film theme? The sort of music that you look forward to kicking in, that elevates the scene, that creates goosebumps. Something like Bond often does for example. Avengers theme comes to mind (the portals scene in Endgame, etc).
