I want to post my stories, but I fear that Wattpad is just known for smut. (not saying smut is a bad thing, I love reading smut, but not all of my stories include it!) Are there sites like wattpad that wont have readers disappointed when there isn't any smut involved?

I've tried re-educating myself several times so I can work, earn and truly live with my chronic illness. Each time, my chronic illness renders me unable to do anything. I genuinely feel helpless.

PSA: Don't ask creatives "when are you going to finish that project?" it's very dangerous for us. There's a very real chance we spontaneously poof into a cloud of fairy dust, and retreat to our cave habitat for the next 2-3 months to regain our human form

Going to kick my butt back into drawing with my tablet now that I have one that works. Day 1: Looking at tutorials on Painter Essentials 8 (the main app i'll use) & perhaps one tutorial on getting started. I need to remember to use baby steps otherwise I'll get overwhelmed and stop ><

I haven't written for a hot minute...and that's okay (or so I keep telling myself). My writing will always be there to come back to. No time limit. No pressure. No stress. A perfect hobby for someone with health issues that can't predict when they'll be well enough to participate in.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but my book was rejected by 98 literary agents before I found one who would represent me. Whatever it is just keep trying.

It took me a very long time to learn "do your best" does not mean "give 100% effort even at the expense of your physical or mental health" or "give A+ effort even when it is clearly not appreciated or valued". Sometimes doing your best is heating up a can of soup and going to bed early.

My socials have been quiet for the past week or so due to my health being so poor. The best thing about being a writer is that your writing isn't going anywhere. You can take some time off and return when you feel okay to resume. It's not life or death if you step away for a while. 😮‍💨

I have some coding to do today, but once that's out of the way, I will be happily writing more fiction and fantasy! I can never focus fully if I know I have other work to do. Even if it's simply 'do the laundry'. I can't get myself to focus. Is anyone else like this when it comes to writing?

So, I'm doing this thing now where I start writing, and I stream on twitch at the same time. I've met some other lovely writers that pop in from time to time and have found it wonderful to meet new writer friends this way ^^ I've also realised I write way more! A plus on all sides!

The more I research my heritage, the more I miss my home. It's a shame so many are displaced because they can not afford to buy a house in the area they grew up. On the bright side, where I live now is equally beautiful, and I might not have had the chance to enjoy it otherwise.
