I am so impressed by everyone who is out marching in the bitter cold. I truly wish I were able bodied enough to be at protests. Part of me does feel guilty that I'm not able to do more. But I have to respect my own battle against cancer and healing process after 2 surgeries, 34 days apart.

I have been told that as of 10 am tomorrow I must be on a liquid diet in preparation for Thursday's surgery. However, I am allowed to eat breakfast before 10 am. The catch: Because of surgery, I cannot have any of the meds that helped me sleep and the insomnia is strong.

I was incredibly fortunate that there's been a cancellation in my oncologist's surgery schedule and we can remove my ovaries on 1/22/26. We also did the CT Scan yesterday so we'll find out in the next few days if there's any other problem areas or if we've dodged this bullet.

6 days ago, I was informed that my former uterus had a stage 1 cancer. We did biopsies months ago that came back normal. The medical community pushed back on me at every turn, telling me maybe I don't need surgery. I advocated for myself, and I am thanking all the divine beings that I succeeded.

I still exist. My uterus is in a medical lab somewhere being tested for anomalies. But it is no longer in my body and that's the most important part. I got it out of me before it tried to kill me a 3rd time. Grateful.
