What was your #childhoodcinema The Colosseum, in Commissioner Street, Johannesburg. It was also a live-entertainment theatre, with a painted night sky on the ceiling. Our folks dumped us there every Saturday morning as they went shopping. (Closed on the 1980s.)

Favorite new(ish) fiction and non-fiction reads this year. Managed a chart-topping 14 books, which makes this the best year since 2015 (also 14). Far cry from 1996 (107), but beats my goal of one book each month. Genuinely loved both. Substantial, human, moving and engagingly told. 🔥 #booksky
