It rained overnight, so my early morning visit to Hilltop will have to be delayed until this afternoon. Stay tuned for further updates. 🌧️

Today is the fifth day I’ve skipped Hilltop. I’ve been slowly recovering from the fall I took on Tuesday. Really hoping to be up for it tomorrow.

12:10 P.M. at Hilltop. 74F and the usual haze over Palos Verdes and downtown Long Beach. Blue skies overhead with some wispy clouds. Very few people today for some reason. Once again, no lizards or boids but a cute little doggo arrived just as I was leaving. One shaky lap around the circular path.

Sure, the critters aren't doing any work. But they're fully expecting back pay when the shutdown ends

2:25 P.M. at Hilltop. 74F and hazy from Palos Verdes down into Long Beach. I can't even spot the Villa Riviera! No lizards, boids or doggos, alas. Seven or so visitors at the overlook & a few at the picnic tables. A man playing with his toddler son on the grass. One lap around the circular path.

Lupin has a lot more energy than I do.

11:50 A.M. at Hilltop. 74F with cloudless (mostly) skies. I missed the last two days due to feeling like 🤧. I dragged myself there today and was glad I went. Not a lot of people, but doggos galore! Two spaniels, a poodle mix and two terriers, all cute as a button. One lap around the circular path.

No Hilltop today. I tried, but it was jam packed. I’m learning that afternoon is not the best time. Tomorrow is another day so onward!

2:20 P.M. at Hilltop. 77F with cotton ball clouds overhead. Not so much haze today but there's a semi-strong breeze. No lizards or boids or doggos. A handful of people at the overlook and on the grass. No ice cream truck which seems odd considering the weather. One lap around the circular path.

5:05 P.M. at Hilltop. 76F with a nice breeze. Low layer of white clouds over Palos Verdes. Just a few people at the overlook. Three doggos! A brown & white terrier, a very cute poodle mix, and a small spaniel. Still getting over the spill I took Sunday night. One shaky lap around the circular path.

2:00 P.M. at Hilltop. 75F with a rather strong breeze. Skies are clear to the north, but Palos Verdes has that stubborn layer of haze. A tiny lizard scuttled alongside me for a spell. No boids and no doggos 😕. A few people here and there. No ice cream truck. One lap around the circular path.

3:20 P.M. at Hilltop. 76F with clear skies overhead. There's a very large group of young people, about fifty or so, gathered to listen to someone speaking. Club of some kind? I'm feeling the aftereffects of a tumble I took last night so I skipped the circular path & spent some time at the overlook.

Back from the doctor. Vaxxed to the max, baby!

7:25 A.M. at Hilltop. 66F with a layer of clouds. Visibility isn't bad, though. Hello, Palos Verdes! Just a handful of visitors to the overlook. The grass is looking great! No lizards or boids. Met a lovely Husky named Sam. "He's a good boy," said his hooman. One lap around the circular path.

3:00 P.M. at Hilltop. 73F and the cloud layer has lingered since this morning. A few visitors to the overlook and just a handful of people on the grass. One lovely doggo, could be a collie mix. No boids or lizards. Ice cream truck is here but I'm not indulging. One lap around the circular path.

Cardi B is making an appearance in Long Beach right now. It's at a record store a few doors down from my dentist's office. The store used to be a medical supply location. Kinda weird, huh?

10 A.M. at Hilltop. 68F with just a hint of a breeze. It is overcast all around so Palos Verdes is a no-show. I missed yesterday due to a difficult PT session. Not many people. A grounds keeper is tidying up the overlook. One lovely doggo, a brown and white spaniel. One lap around the circular path.

A local newscaster just pronounced "Gestapo" as "Gahstapo" (emphasis on the first syllable.) *sigh*
