I think I’m going to make a Star Wars Galactic Star Cruiser hotel using a custom venue and the Journey to Batuu assets. I think it could work really well. I’ll make all the employees wear the Star Wars costumes, etc. I don’t care if the rooms won’t be private it could be fun.

And also don’t take you frustration out on The Sims team. It’s likely they’re just as disappointed by the ethics of the sale and the impact private equity may have on their roles going forward! 😊

The thing with private equity is that they often asset strip the businesses they acquire. It’s highly likely The Sims will be sold, for profit, to another gaming company soon or in the coming years.

If I had known EA was for sale, I’d have purchased it myself? It’s actually so rude they didn’t consider me.

One of my favourite things to do in The Sims 4 is to make movie sets. This Parisian neighbourhood is my latest and exists within a 64x64 soundstage I built in San Sequoia. Even the sky is fake. It’s a wallpaper. I’m going to make my actor Sim shoot a “French” TV series here…. 🎬🎞️

Mac players: Is the dock getting in the way for you too? Any time I try to play the game now, it jumps up when I go into build/buy. It's infuriating. It was never this bad before.

I find the whole debate over EA giving credit to mod creators to be crazy. First of all, who said they were inspired by your mod? Secondly, mods are usually made to fill the gap for highly requested features, and those mods or ideas were likely to be implemented in the game eventually.

Imagine travelling across the country for work (on my own dime) and then developing a killer fever while there. I haven’t left the hotel.

I also wonder where the world is set geographically. It’s got palm trees and pine trees in close proximity? Anyone hazard a guess where it could be? Though… it may be completely made up. Innisgreen took a tiny bit of Celtic aesthetic and put it into a fairy inspired North American style town?

I don’t think Adventure Awaits will have hotels—if it did, they’d have put it front and centre. I think it’ll be a world full of vacation rentals. It’s a system they already have. The focus is clearly on the “adventures” aspect. Oh well! Hopefully we get hotels as a game pack one day.
