In the age of AI, it’s time to take UBI seriously. We already have enough resources to meet everyone’s basic needs. When we’re not fighting to survive, we can finally start to live and become who we’re meant to be. 💜

For example, if we had a UBI system, workers would be empowered to leave crappy employment. Most people don't unionize or strike because they can't afford to miss paychecks. This gives the companies all the power. They can outlast a strike and continue treating their workers like shit.

Myth: If we had a Basic Income, everyone would stop working. Fact: People work for 2 main reasons: 1. They have an urge to do something constructive with their talents; 2. They want a good standard of living. Numerous studies have demonstrated that most people continue to work when receiving BI.

Basic income addresses the root causes of crime. It reduces violence and drug/alcohol use.
