Just managed my first clear of Absolum, on attempt 21, using Cider the rogue. Really great stuff so far, and it seems to open up and give you more significant stuff to do after that, much like Hades. As I play a bit more of this, I wanted to share a few other thoughts:

I forget if it was the original tenchu or one of the later sequels but one of these games has a boss that will fight you normally if you're playing as the male protagonist, but will kill himself if you're playing as the female protagonist

Just spent a lengthy session with Absolum and I feel like it really clicked for me in this last session. I remember having a similar session with Clover Pit, where I suddenly "got" the game and it became way more fun. This one really rules
