Fredo's Game-Os update: Just finished Promise Mascot Agency after about 14 hours. I think it started to drag a little bit in the last third or so, I was a bit less enthralled by the narrative here than I was for the story conclusion in Paradise Killer, but I enjoyed it overall!

Of all the professional bad take havers, he's the one that bums me out the most. Back when I was in grad school I was seriously a big fan of his- I thought the stories he was able to tell with data were excellent and I saw him as a role model for my research career. It's sad what happened to him

Fredo's Game-os: Roadcraft This is quite an interesting one! For a few years now, Saber Interactive has been doing these technical vehicle sim type games (Mud runners, snow runners, and expeditions) which are pretty complicated but a little more accessible than stuff like truck simulator

Little Fredo's Game-Os aside here: While playing Silksong I've been thinking a lot about games that do devious, intentionally annoying things. Now, I'm not even saying this is always a bad thing - when used well, these situations can be fun challenges to overcome and they prevent "autopilot"

Pretty fascinating seeing the QTs on this one. Like a lot of the folks on here my teachers were overwhelmingly conservative and very vocal about it but I went to catholic school so I'm guessing it was a more extreme situation than most
