“British politics is asleep” Britain is not immune to the rise in Populism. Farage is coming. For inequality, for the environment, for all the big issues facing society, we all need to be concerned by this damaging prospect.

Today seems like a good day to debunk the 12 biggest myths about taxing the rich.

It’s one thing to watch an ill-informed, cynical old mate disappear down a YouTube rabbit hole, or for a teenager to melt their attention via TikTok. Shit’s so warped now, from Bolsanaro, to Trump, to South Korea’s Yoon, we’re watching world leaders govern whilst suffering social media brain rot.

Loop holes, (such as Musk donating $100m to Reform via the UK arm of Tesla), allow foreign interference in our democracy. Financial contributions and dubious think tanks lobbying our governments are corrupting our political system, allowing the billionaires to win and it simply must be stopped.

People are leaving Twitter because it’s not fun anymore and no one is obligated to be on a platform they don’t enjoy. It’s not rocket science.

Australia ban social media for anyone under 16 years of age. This is positive, progressive, science-based political law-making at its very best. Time for the UK government to step up next. Our kids are depending on it.
