Personally I'm frustrated by the naivety/temerity, of those obsessed with analysis of election manifestos or tools to assess a politician’s answers in election mode, which are presented as guides to help us decide, or to influence our votes,particularly when not sanity checked against track-records.

This also ignores that many parties basically abandon their manifestos post-election. Where available (e.g., Fine Gael, Fianna Fáil, Greens) it would be more useful to analyse their performance in government or their fulfilment of 2020 manifesto commitments to assess their performance on climate.

This is a useful resource but I take issue with the suggestion of this being “independent” (and implicitly apolitical). For example, some of the parties fall down on their commitment to EVs, despite the influence of corporate lobbying on EVs development, microplastic pollution from car tires etc.
