My first major project in Bristol was creating the IMAX and what was then At-Bristol. It was a time of great optimism in Bristol, which also included work on a new concert hall - The Harbourside Centre. Can we have these days back again please. Looking forward very much to seeing The Big Picture.

The Saragossa Manuscript (Wojciech Jerzy Has, 1964) was one of Angela Carter's favourite films. It's on at the BFI Southbank, which Carter describes fondly as a "concrete bunker". Neil Jordan mentions it as a mutual reference whilst adapting her short story/radio play, The Company of Wolves (1984)

Hugely proud of our L5 UWE Filmmaking students on the #CraftLab module - where they are challenged to attempt something they've always wanted to do, but been too afraid to try - it's about creative risk-taking, failing and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone - so great to be in an Arts School!
