Hey, would anyone be interested if Shiei started taking commissions again? That's the wonderfully talented artist who worked on the official MLP Manga series.

Had a weird dream last night, I was saving cats from a house that was about to explode, and I kept finding more and more cats. For some reason my biggest worry wasn't the knocked out henchmen all over the place, but that I'd have to find so many names for the cats.

I recently commissioned @mintyroot.bsky.social to do a little animation/animated GIF loop involving Scope. Needless to say I'm frickin' ecstatic. It shows Scope using all three of his pewpews! Focused particle beams, mana torpedoes, and disruptor cannon-like pulses. THANK YOU MINTY!

So ... I applied for another studio earlier today. Wish me luck.

If you really want to make a movie on the computer, you should try that "animation" thing. It's a really crazy concept where instead of actors you have a bunch of shapes that move and they look like characters.

I'm organized.

Had some production meetings regarding Pandemonium this weekend. Things are still on track. I'm doing animation fixes for act 1, and act 2 is almost done animating.

So it seems like with the bad news, I'll have to cancel every convention this summer. I still have no idea why the project was cancelled, I can only speculate. I'm mostly just exhausted.

So ... long story short, I was supposed to start a new job, and the project it was tied to got abruptly cancelled. I have to start commission work until a new project starts, but while I figure out how I would even price that, I'm adding new YCHs.

So I somehow have some renders that are below 2GB of memory usage. I might try to see if I could get some use for my ancient GTX 1050 for those renders. No idea if it's still viable, but it's worth a try.

Pandemonium has explosions. Unfortunately, those explosions are heavy.

So there's some good news after all. Turns out I was able to reuse elements from an unused scene from Missing Out in Pandemonium for a flashback. It's seen in a different context so I have to rerender everything, but it's a GPU render this time around so the quality is a lot better.

So I lost sleep all week waiting for news I was supposed to get during the week, and I didn't even get the news after all. It's frustrating, really ...

I think my Framework might have a curse. Wouldn't recognize one of my USB HDDs, but I tried on my Steam Deck and it works just fine.

Completed another batch of YCHs. Now waiting for feedback on a few of them. I'd take a break but I gotta make a whole new rig for Pandemonium.

So ... I'm waiting for some IRL news I've been waiting for a pretty long time, and I might be getting them tomorrow. I'm pretty stressed out.

I haven't seen most of The Amazing Digital Circus yet because I'm in the middle of a lot of things right now, but I made a version of it in my head based on what people tweet about it, and it's weird.

So I don't have the full count, but it seems like I'm at my 50th YCH done with my pony rigs. To my surprise the rigs have been a lot more robust than I originally expected. I had some crazy challenges with some of the OCs I was given to work on.

Finally added my YCHs to Artist Alley. It took me more time than I would have wanted to get Stripe to work, but now it's here! You can still get them the old fashioned way, of course.

Seems like the rashes on my hands have returned. My hands were just fine during Whinny, but now I'm back with the hand pain. Might be stress causing it, I've been waiting for a very important email for weeks and I'm growing impatient.

Looks like I'll be skipping the Montreal Comiccon this year. The timing just isn't good right now. It's a shame, I really enjoyed seeing all the cosplays.

Rerendering the opening scene of the project tonight, nothing too big, mostly just fixing some timing I wasn't happy with. I also rewrote a bit of the ending scene. I was storyboarding the scene this weekend and I realized it didn't flow quite right, so I added a few things.

Well that's one way to keep me motivated to work on my projects, my PC doesn't want to recognize any game controller I plug in. Dammit, I wanted to game a bit to destress.

Stayed up late at night to complete YCHs, made me think how my OC is basically a contradictory mess of a design. I often say the colors are like a copper flame, and how it ties to her magical abilities, but it's a retcon. I originally just took colors from Yoshi and put them on Vinyl Scratch.

I got merch for movies that have never been released, and may never be. Some of it I can't even show.
