Aha! I see how to combine the scenes and avoid repetition. Off to 14th century York...

Instead of doomscrolling yesterday I --assembled a wire fence round the Arthur Menzies mahonia to protect branch buds at the base from rabbits --watered potted plants so this week between rains doesn't set them back --wrote a scene, plotted another --sat in a sunbeam with The Maggie 🐈‍⬛ ☮️

Happiness is trilium coming up, one with a tiny bud visible, and my Arthur Menzies oregon grape sprouting more stems from near the base. The garden always calms me. I've now put a fence round Arthur so the rabbits can't get to their tender shoots. #naturewriting #gardens #hope 👩‍🌾🌼☮️

A tough morning to lead a meditation, but comforting to sit quietly with compassionate, open-hearted people. We dedicated the merit to all who are terrified in this moment. May reason win out. May it be so. 🙏☮️
