This afternoon I attended a memorial service in my sangha. My heart was lifted by all the beautiful sharing, the sincere affection, the gentle humor. There is still much beauty in this world, and many caring, compassionate people. ❤️☮️✨🙏

Reading notes: Glencora MacCluskie Palliser is one of Trollope's best creations. When she appears in Can You Forgive Her? she lights up the page. (And of course I see Susan Hampshire, with her smiling eyes, as she played the role so well on television.)

Finding joy: volunteer! I'm on a list of people offering a sangha member rides to her chemo, & I just had a fun, silly conversation with her while planning the ride. She brightened my day. Kindness goes both ways. (We also talked strategy about our cats wanting us up earlier.) 🐈‍⬛✨
