Had fun making this long then collage strip from all kinds of leftover pieces!

'Be my complement'. With this piece I challenged myself to use a limited palette and to paint over a lot of darlings to make the design simpler. This will be exhibited in September in galerie Arti-Shock in Rijswijk.

Many reasons why I love this piece! That yummy red that pops off the painting because it's surrounded by these muted colors and chromatic grays. The layers are delicious, some translucency, or a hint of underlying color. Fresh off-white gives a feeling of openness and dark brown so chocolaty!.

Collage on paper. This one was hidden in a book and fell out this week at a perfect time and I finished it.

Meet Mr. Loverman, he's been around in my studio for a while now. He needed some adjusting, finetuning, extra focus, and filtering the parts that were too loud. Now that he has his colors straight, he can get a final coating of medium. I am looking forward to spending some time with him on my wall.
