one of my favorite bgs to date is this single panel of the back hallway of the piano bar. all the steps of the staircase are slightly off-kilter, and it feels SO much better than if they were all straight lines in perfect perspective

preliminary background inks are done. time to make the inks look Worse. :) (and I do mean worse in the sense that I'm gonna go in and purposefully make the lines stray EVEN MORE off perspective. I find the eye gets fatigued looking at lines that are too immaculate!!)
