I’d say once every few months I get SO OVERWHELMED by having kids and just how much work it is, and would love a day off. A day of just rotting in front of the TV? Playing games? SLEEPING? That does not exist, so let’s carve a pumpkin and go trick or treating instead.

Kill la Kill is so good.

In a real phase of “You only have an hour of free time a day what will you do with it?” with this whole baby-having business. Yesterday Dispatch won, but today it’s gym.

Sometimes, life rocks so much. Ran 5 miles. Fulfilling day. We’ve eaten a good meal, bit of wine, house is warm and the girls are in the other room laughing. I don’t need much more than that.

I definitely like some fancy red wine, but I think I quite… enjoy being somewhat ignorant? Why would I ruin so much wine for myself by educating my palate too much? Wine.

Tell you what IS for me though, and it’s Kill la Kill. I still don’t know how I feel about the female character design, but otherwise it is just so much fun. Absolutely PACKED with awesome action. I can’t tell if it’s that era of anime that I love, or just Trigger in general? A bit of both maybe.

Think I’ve decided that Ball x Pit isn’t for me, and that’s okay.

Rolled credits on Hades 2! That is... an incredibly good game. INCREDIBLY good. Not everything hit for me - I think I still prefer the combat of 1, and the ending fell a bit flat for me. But that is jam-packed with insane quality and created by such a talented team. INCREDIBLY GOOD.

Been in such a good groove with Hades 2 today - several Typhon kills, one after the other, really clicking with some of the weapons. GOOD GAME. Really is GOTY material. Oh and of course I’ve also done lots of work today too, naturally.

Just finished Saga of Tanya the Evil. Way more WAR and less WITCH than I was hoping for, but it was a really good time! Nice short, concise and flashy series about an alternate take on World War 1 where there are... witches on broomsticks fighting from the skies. IT'S COOL.

My currently playing has been the same for a while, and it’s all spooky/witch themed. Hades 2 WitchSpring R Monster Hunter Rise (shut up I have a witch hat) Looking forward to Dispatch in a few days which isn’t spooky but looks EXCELLENT.

Tackled the Master Rank version of Diablos in Monster Hunter Rise this morning, and remembered why it’s my favourite monster to hunt. Absolute beast.

Absolutely smashed this bunk bed construction today. Juggled WFH and managed to get it all put up and presentable before she got back from school. Biggest smiles. Very happy.
