The Nexus has been updated for my PC remaster mod of DeS! Lots of surfaces now have a normal map and specular map where before they either were albedo only, or just albedo/normal, or albedo/specular. I expand the albedo/normal/spec supremacy onto more surfaces. www.nexusmods.com/demonssouls/...

i always get the random itch to boot up og demon's souls up and make a new reshade preset for it. includes TAA, amd's CAS, lumenite large scale RT ambient occlusion, small levels edit, tiny tonemap which defogs the color blue just a smidge. game is gorgeous regardless tho

While studying SER(Shader Execution Reordering), I came across a blog which showed that Pipeline tracing i,e (TraceRay) is faster than Inline tracing(RayQuery) on AMD GPU, SER requires PipelineTracing(Dispatch Rays) call. AMD GPU's see a 10-25% speedup using TraceRay vs RayQuery.

Morrowind in 2026 is kinda crazy looking. This is running OpenMW + a tiny reshade that adds large scale raytraced ambient occlusion. that's it. OpenMW is doing the heavy lifting & replaces Morrowind's rendering engine with a highly efficient OpenGL one made specifically for it.
