I think competitive mode is going to be fun. The players solve the same board, and whoever filled in the most tiles wins. If a player gameovers early, the other player goes into sudden death with their remaining time cut in half. If that player finishes, they win, else tile count is the tie breaker.

Alright, two player mode is off to a great start.

After a week of vacation, I go back to work today. I had a weird-ass dream that giant chunks of the building were torn out to be remodeled and the only answers I could get was "It had to be done" and no one could tell me what "it" was. Like, what are we doing, exactly. I don't want to go back.

There were people that seemed frustrated I canceled Pixel Pup, maybe this disclosure will help explain why 😑 I really caught lightning in a bottle with series one.

Another fun year at #MidwestGamingClassic. Added to my SNES collection, went to some panels, played some 16 player Faceball 2000, and finally got to meet @stopskeletons.bsky.social and have him sign my Video Game Years DVD. Though there's never enough time. Much to do and less time to do it in.

Don't let me go into the vendor hall. I'm not good with money. My pick-ups from Midwest Gaming Classic are pretty questionable, with the exception of @sarahlynne.bsky.social 's Dizzy Sheep Disaster for the e-Reader (but that doesn't even count, since I pre-ordered online)...

I've been exploring what is next after Pixel Pup. I've narrowed it down to two ideas, one of them being my "dream" e-reader game. An ambitious game that I want to make to really show how interesting games distributed like this can be.

Manufacturing cards is still an unsolved problem. Once Pixel Pup is out, I plan to circle back on that as well and see what can be done there.

Pixel Pup is about 70% done. The big remaining things are two player mode, random puzzles, and better music. Then there's a good deal of polish to slap on from there.
