Drawing in the dark with crayons is such a mood

I had to stop oil painting because I couldn't adequately ventilate my space. Even in college opening the windows in the studio didn't stop the fumes from making me woozy. ("Odorless" mineral spirits absolutely stinks.)

Thought I might have fun with my acrylic markers. The black however is from a tube and not a marker

For some reason I forget that I can make art for arts sake and not worry about selling it. I find it lately that I’ve been just doing either commissions or art that I think will (hopefully) sell. Not doing work that’s stress free is now strange to do.

Been picking up new hobbies left and right this year. My gran does cross stitching and I asked her to teach me. Ended up super enjoying it! It's a nice low-brain activity while watching something in the background. Perfect for unwinding. Here's my first finished cross stitch! Isn't he fashionable?
