My mental health has taken a toll over the 6 years I have lived next to all this construction noise. My home is not at all a place to relax. I cannot wait until life will allow me to move away somewhere quieter. Or at least with soundproofed windows.

The Dougie College construction site closed the Royal sidewalk again today. Detour is around another part of Agnes where the road and sidewalk are also closed. Safety first.

Dear New West city - if you close a sidewalk, make sure pedestrians have a convenient, SAFE, detour set up like is done for cars. Especially in the rain and dark of winter. Making people cross busy roads multiple times is not acceptable.

For a place that has banned the sale of fireworks, I have heard nothing but fireworks for the last hour or so.

I am so tired of the 6.40am bus continuously not showing up at New West Stn. Too often it is because the driver cannot leave the depot on time to start the route at the first stop.

Thankfully snuck in a run in the sunshine this afternoon. The deluge begins tomorrow, apparently.

Normalize not closing every sidewalk around a construction site because PEOPLE NEED TO EFFING WALK HOME. WE ARE NOT IN CARS WHERE A DETOUR AROUND IS NO BIG DEAL.

I think what the "missing bus" driver did was bypass the first stop at New West Station and went up Eighth from elsewhere. None of the usual people from the 6.40 bus are getting on this later one. Argh!

Second morning in a row where the 6.40am bus failed to show up. Now I have to send an email to TransLink expressing how this missing bus messes up work schedules.

Lots of pissed off drivers backed up on Royal, on to Stewardson. Wonder where the accident happened.

All of my teaching unit lessons are printed out, placed in plastic sleeves, and filed sequentially in labelled binders. Shelved by subject, in teaching order. Daily plans written in pen on paper.

I guess today is the first day of the school year where my bus to work has failed to show at 6.40am. Six weeks is longer than any period last winter. Messes up my schedule for getting ready for the 8am class, however.

You leave YouTube for a second and when you return all of the icons are even more infantilised than when you left. Why do they insist on doing this? Stop updating what doesn't need updating.

Exiting Lake City Way station, the pedestrians will have to be aware enough to not get in the way of any cyclists riding downhill. Of course the sidewalk is right next to the road. Only so much change can happen in urban design at one time, I guess.
