Vachir is stuck listening to everyone's problems on the daily and giving advice (usually on the long-winded side). Zhyk responds usually if pinged but tends to just skim briefly. He doesn't have much to say in a group - a lot of his communication is best done one on one.

Thinking about how Zhyk is this stray alley cat that can take care of himself, but also how he willingly shows up to a bunch of dog-coded OCs and climbs into their sleep pile as if it's his own & enjoys being taken care of by them.

An overwhelmingly common reason people give for enjoying this type of work IS ITS SEPARATION FROM REALITY. People are ENJOYING A FANTASY, not planning their weekend. This deserves protection.

I would say the circumstances & consequences of Zhyk's voidsent pact, but that's spoiler heavy territory, so either how he wields his fire (no foci needed, can choose to burn or not, etc) or his connection to aether (/the star?) works now. [He's a bit like a singing wine glass; it's music oriented.]

Zhyk gets more and more irritated until either he snaps & raises his voice (maybe even with a flash of aether) or he leaves them behind in whatever way he can. Vachir pulls out the stern, almost disappointed dad voice, and gets ready to sit them down for the reprimanding of a lifetime.
