Multilateralism doesn't stop on Sundays. Talks are restarting to set up a science-policy panel for chemicals, wastes, and pollution. If successful, it will join @ipcc.bsky.social (for climate) and @ipbes.net (for nature) to channel science to decision-makers to protect people & planet. @unep.org

One of my most depressing moments at a climate COP: The UK - one year after hosting the COP - made a plea to phase down all fossil fuels. But it had just approved a new coal project. Presidencies only need to pretend for a bit. At most.

Climate change caused a heat dome & people's deaths. Attribution science can connect these dots now. This might be one of many court cases to come. www.cbc.ca/news/science...
