Why does sleep have to be so hard with anxiety even when I'm exhausted

@deviantollam.bsky.social your video about the deadbolt strap reminded me - got one for a friend but their apartment has a very small residential style deadbolt thumbturn, any tips to make it grab and not just "fall" off the thumbturn around the shaft of it when pressure is applied?

Or not, and I just won't look at it right now. Because it had a chance to download stuff last night automatically and did, why on earth does everything have to be mandatory updated literally every time an update comes out at every hour of the day.

Ughhh I'm super freaked out scared alone I'm so exhausted. But I can't sleep because I'm super freaked out to near panic. I hate this. Went to the bathroom brushed a towel in the hall nearly jumped thru the ceiling. Turned on bathroom light nearly stepped on a spider (lives in there) scared me.

Really just want to cry right now. I got some expensive used test equipment and in the process of trying to fix the faulty battery accidentally destroyed it. Then while trying to diagnose some other stuff snagged my clothes and broke part of my train layout. And lost sharp metal somewhere.

I love coming home to a mystery of why the mailbox is half knocked down hanging by some luck at a funky angle and having to spend the rest of the evening making phone calls and filling out forms for the hit-and-run from a delivery truck...

*sigh* Moving cars around to do an oil change and...what's this drip on the floor? Oh no, that looks like grease. Only place that could be coming from sounds like the CV axle boot/joint failing. Have to inspect more after the oil change but not looking forward to that cost.

I hate how almost all the time I feel rushed, stressed, or lonely anymore. Can't seem to do or plan anything without it falling apart, everything is always priority 1a emergency being done, and I'm always exhausted, yet so much still isn't getting done that needs to be.

I hate that I can't sleep when I'm all alone, even though I'm exhausted. So frustrating.

I wonder why large events don't seem to coordinate having an elevator tech onsite when it seems like they keep getting stuck multiple times per day..... Seems wild to have them just going out of service or trapping people requiring emergency rescue regularly...

So lesson learned, don't lift the handle on these locks to open the door with an overhand grip.....OW! Major pinch/crush hazard for hands between the handle and combo dial case! Thought it would be easier to open the 50 lb door lifting up. @deviantollam.bsky.social you tried this by chance?

On today's episode of "damnit why me"... How to turn a 1-hour backup camera repair saving $150 into a 1.5 week $250 expenditure...... Possibly more, I won't know until the additional new replacement parts show up and either they might work better or I'll have to go to the dealer 😭

Man things is going downhill lately. I'm up to 4 orders that seem to be MIA between China and my house (one of which went MIA in my county), then registering for the online ham radio testing system I've apparently found a bug in their system throwing errors....and my car backup camera died.
