Can someone explain like I’m 5 how Trump can save TikTok after the Supreme Court ruled the ban was constitutional? If that’s the case could he just sign an executive order saying Roe V Wade is law of the land? Why even have the Supreme Court if a president can executive override their ruling?

It’s important to be clear that TikTok could have stayed up through the inauguration. Joe Biden said he’d not enforce the law. They made a choice to shut down and display a pro-Trump message. They weren’t forced to.

The message from TikTok is trump will “save it”. If trump will save TikTok then I don’t want to use it. It will not be the same.
