This Louisiana case also includes indictment of a mom - on felony charges for allegedly providing an illegal abortion with drugs obtained through the mail. Physical, informational and decisional privacy of this mom and daughter eviscerated.

Last I checked, NYPD didn’t have a contract with Clearview. Officers there loved it but decision makers thought it was too controversial a tool. The FBI, however, who is a partner in the investigation, does have a Clearview contract per public budget records.

While I admire the CPPA's effort to educate, the notion that the ball is in the individuals' court is not a good one. This puts the on individuals to protect their privacy when they are ill-equipped to do so and then leads to blaming them when they fail to do so.

So today is Shirley Chisholm’s 100th birthday!!!! She was an icon! My mentor was a volunteer for her, so I got to hear so many stories.
