Ophelia is feeling much better today. She hasn't needed extra painkillers and is bouncing around like normal (after her great crate escape). No more limping and she's back to her happy self.

Enforced quiet time after Ophelia somehow managed to escape her crate rest. How? She climbed the side, squeaked once, and was magically on the outside of the crate. I DON'T KNOW, OKAY? Bloody kittens omg.

I do apologise for sometimes replying like two days later to a comment, it's just I have ADHD so if I think "I'll reply to this in a second" you have essentially entered a raffle and your prize is maybe several days later I will remember.

Pretty little Ophelia has hurt herself somehow and is now in jail on crate rest. I've poked all of her important bones and nothing is broken, so I suspect she played too hard with a big cat and has a sore bit. If she isn't improved by Monday she will get a nice field trip to the vet!

ILLEGAL! I have found an ILLEGAL birdwatcher engaging in illegal birdwatching behaviours. (Thankfully the cockatiels do not find cats terribly stressful - although they do not like the lack of house)

Oh my gosh LOOK at these tiny babies! They were born at Rescue Cats Safe Haven here in Tas a month ago. Their mama is very scared but an excellent mama. And her babies are exploring and doing fantastically.

Ophelia is looking so grown up, but she is still very small and very silly.

Whoever bought the cat tree from Throne stayed anonymous so I can't thank them directly but OMG you have no idea how much the cats love this thing. Here is Sabine, sleeping in the cube, and I've even seen Tom and Crumpet asleep in it! My scaredy boys!

Thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes! Today Meg is very annoyed that the nice clean baby got licked !! by the puppy !! and is no longer shiny clean. Then Winnie tried to nurse on Meg and everyone was confused. (Meg is Not The Mama)

It's my birthday! I'm 37 today, which feels like lies. I tried to convince both kittens to pose with me but Ophelia was too busy being zoomie and biting things (mostly me). Winnie was only mildly wiggly.

Tiny criminal has armed herself with a pair of scissors and honestly I do not expect this level of escalation.

A whole year since the house burned down. It feels kind of surreal. A whole entire year. It's been a lot.

Cosette and Maeve went to their new foster home yesterday. I think they will both benefit from the quiet, and maybe less Sabine. I'm going to miss them SO much, but I think this will be good for them. I sent them with lots of food and treats, so the new foster has extra supplies!

I (finally) put together the new cat tree one of you lovely people bought for the fosters, and it's been a hit!

Ophelia tasted churu for the first time in her life last night. Winnie also got churu, but her photos are all violence as she made sure no other cats got near the churu.

This very excellent tiny kitten required me to hold her entire head while she napped. I don't know why, but she was very snuggly so I didn't complain.

Sunday afternoon couch time. I had my book but look, it was hard to concentrate.

The kittens have been SET FREE in the studio shed and this allows them to viciously attack me whenever they want. Thankfully I am expected to survive.

Cosette is growing into such an interesting looking girl. Her ears are still huge, and she likes when I hold her head and front legs in my hand during snuggle time. She's probably headed to a new foster carer this week so I can take a super scared girl.

Spent some time this afternoon working with Sadie, the puppy (10 months) on NOT getting overexcited and being too rough with kittens. Winnie and Ophelia had an excellent time exploring the big living space.

It is VERY hard to work when this little chaos gremlin keeps dancing over my keyboard.
