That question caught his attention, head turning towards his guest in surprise. A brief flicker of color touched the monochrome entity's face from a flattered confusion. “ You're worried? W-well, yeah I'll be okay.. I don't think I can get worse. Sorry, just shy, ” he hurriedly stated. ›

“ External influence.. I think it's called? My neighbor across the hall has a similar thing. ” Maybe. She refused to show him. But he leaned in closer, attention and bravery peaked with a simple box. “ I- I don't do blackmail, too weird, but I do candids, and .. this is an antique! ” ›

“ You kind of sound like a friend of mine.. I think you two would probably get along, ” he mumbled. Referring to his friend Edwin, anyways. Quite the odd man. Lyle couldn't help but wonder how he's doing as he pulled out a leftover, cold chicken sandwich. “ But .. huh? ” ›

“ S-so many friendly faces .. it's hard to interact with them all. ”

“ Sure - and uh .. no, no it's just whoever looks out there. I uh.. Well, I tried to take a photo of it. I'm - I'm a photographer. ” Stammering out as he made his way to the cabinets, his numerous legs tapped across the floor, so unafraid to put his back to them. “ A-allergies —? ”

A neighbor .. another one that looked tainted already. His eyes remained wide from behind the folds of his cover, not blinking once, trying to analyze him. Another one who might end up in the side rooms for his own safety. “ I'm Lyle. You're .. A-are you hurt? Hungry? ” Click-click.

H-huh? I didn't! I just took a picture. ﹙ Sincerely surprised, his mouth fell open briefly as he took that photo back. Sharp teeth, too. ﹚ If you can get a dark room of your own, maybe it could get done sooner-?

“ H-hello - uh .. hold on! I was - working on something —— ” Clicking, repeated and in different tones, came out in waves from behind that doorway as he closed it briefly. The tip-tapping of an unknown amount of legs didn't help as he finally cracked his door again. “ Come in, please! ”

What met those noises was panic. Sheer, real panic. The kind of startling fear that only came to those with a real reason to stay hidden. All the same .. it couldn't be another monster, right? A worse one. So he put his face to his door, cracking it, staring out to see who's waiting.
