on the latest updates for the console versions of DS1, some of the original banner messages are rewritten, but some aren't as it happens there were actually prior updates with all of them rewritten, but they just forgot to include one of the textures in the next patch oops

Fun fact: The texture sheet with the semi-awkward English for on-screen splash text that most of the world only knows from the unpatched 1.0 console versions of 'Dark Souls' is still used in the current version of 'Dark Souls: Remastered' on PC when playing in Traditional Chinese (繁體中文).

The Burg-branch of the Invisible Dragon Store is much more successful, no doubt thanks to the technological advancement of a door communicating the concept of 'SMB3 Toad House thingamajigg' better. Though now meeting the urban-theoretical characteristics of a "space", it tends to get robbed as well.

As an exercise in non-verbal communication, I have been running the Invisible Dragon Store in Darkroot, where participants are required to understand the (CLEARLY COMMUNICATED! 😾) concept that you only get to pick one of the three mystery item bags, or get dragon punched.

Trivia questions (looking it up is cheating!): 1. Can players who don't have the CoA be summoned here? 2. Can players who don't have the CoA summon? 3. If 2 is yes, can you have your summons beat Four Kings, keeping Sif alive? 4. Boss ends with a cutscene. Can summons find out about Kaathe this way?
