I don't typically express gratitude but this week I'm very excited to be living in Photo A instead of Photo B as we approach the first true fall season I will have experienced in 14 years.

Also in paper decluttering: I don't really remember my maternal grandmother, but she was the other artsy person in the family aside from me. We were both born on the summer solstice. She wrote a lot of poetry, and I found some of her old drawings.

So, SO well deserved.

Trying to clear out all my paper clutter and ran across this, a reminder that my hometown was desperate enough for news that at 16 I made the Friday paper for finding a kitten, a photo my mother dutifully scrapbooked despite still being angry I dyed my hair brown. Fear not the kitten found a home.

Difficult choice but this one gets me every time

I've spent a fortune covering my couch in blankets & adding cat scratchers (seriously, this cat has THREE cat towers & THREE scratch towers in carpet, sisal, and some fleece-ish stuff) and she will find the one 4-inch space of uncovered couch material to go scratch while staring me dead in the eyes.
