No wonder Elon Musk wants to install Pierre Poilievre as Prime Minister. He is the only opposition leader in history who won't or can't get a security clearance. Hell you need a security clearance to volunteer at the library. He also voted against multiple times against support for Ukraine.

Poilievre won’t commit to achieving the Paris Agreement emissions reduction targets. He has committed to increased exports of fossil gas, claiming it will reduce global greenhouse gas emissions. He has hosted a private, $1650/plate fundraiser with his oil executive friends. 16/

As part of Poilievre's commitment to support the rapid expansion of the oil and gas industry, he has promised his corporate and oligarch friends to “clear the way for pipelines” and “to support pipelines south, north, east, west.” /15

While Poilievre has refused to say whether he would keep the federal industrial carbon pricing program, one of his top advisors (Jenni Byrne) has implied that his ‘Axe the Tax’ pro-oil corporation policy includes industrial carbon pricing. /14

Poilievre wants to eliminate major elements of climate protections. This includes opposition to: 1. A cap on pollution from the oil & gas sector. 2. The Clean Fuel Regulations. 3. The Clean Electricity Regulation. 4. The Impact Assessment Act. 5. Just Transition policies. 13/

Poilievre also supports eliminating dependable defined benefit pensions and replacing them with inferior plans that take all the risk off banks and corporations and put it on the backs of workers. If he wins, he'll weaken or even eliminate your workers rights and benefits. /11

At age 31 Poilievre qualified for a $120,000/year MP pension, despite that he's spent his career working to ensure hard working people aren't able to benefit from their hard earned retirement or pension. He's especially worked towards hiking the retirement age from 65 to 67. /10

Between 2004 and 2023, Poilievre voted against federal anti-scab legislation at least 8 times. He's consistent worked to weaken workers whiles strengthening the same corporations and oligarchs hoarding Canada's resources and wealth. / 9

Poilievre wants failed US styled “right-to-work” laws that attack the Rand formula; starve unions of the resources they need to bargain better wages and benefits for their members. He wants to keep the common working person down while giving the rich more leverage & impunity. /8

As a minister in Stephen Harper’s government, Poilievre fully supported bills like C-377 and C-525, which tried to bury unions in bureaucracy and make it harder for workers to form a union of their own. Weakening workers rights vs oligarchs and corporations. /7

Poilievre’s caucus chair is chairman of a major grocery chain, who also voted against a national food program and a bill to lower grocery prices. If Poilievre wins, expect less accordable housing and increased prices on common purchases like food and hydro. It can get worse. /6

Poilievre’s chief strategist is a lobbyist for Galen Weston and Loblaws (which illegally hiked grocery prices across Canada). His deputy leader lobbied to protect a for-profit long-term care company that saw record profits and high fatalities during the COVID19 pandemic. /5

Nearly half of the Conservative Party’s governing body are lobbying for oil corps, pharmaceutical corps, corporate landlords’ associations, anti-union construction associations, and business associations that work against wage increases while hiking prices on food & rent. 4/

Some of Poilievre’s top donors are real estate investors – the same millionaires and billionaires currently cranking up rents and fighting rent control across Canada, leaving scores of people houseless and vulnerable to addiction and organized crime. 3/

Poilievre was Housing Minister in Stephen Harper’s Conservative government, which allowed 800,000 affordable rental units to be sold off to corporate landlords & developers. Under the Harper, the average home price in Canada went up 70% and he refused to do anything about it. 2/

Pierre Poilievre voted against initiatives to make housing affordable and address Canada’s housing crisis in 2006, 2009, 2010, 2013, and 2014 when Conservatives were in power; and again in 2018 and 2019 as a member of the official opposition. Leading to today's housing crisis. 1/
