A neighbor of mine for 20 years had a family member, mother of six young kids, abducted by ICE several weeks ago and taken to another city. Friend just let me know that her relative has been returned. I am crying with joy...and with so many other emotions.

My sign this evening at the protest vigil in Portland's Terry Shrunk Plaza. I guesstimate about 1500 people. Good energy, well organized, @candaceavalos.bsky.social gave a rousing speech, and the Portland crows provided a raucous flyover at sunset. I'm glad I went.

This pisses me off. I've needed a wheelchair on those long airport concourses. I was able to get from the jetway to my seat on the plane on my own, but painfully. It's a good service & I'm grateful for it, but I doubt anybody lightly cheats to use it. Too much disability stigma in this country.
